Meeting Place and Time
We meet at the Greeley Recreation Center, 651 10th Avenue, for lunch and an entertaining program each Thursday at 12:05 p.m. Meetings adjourn promptly at 1:15 p.m., but members are free to stay on and talk privately with our speakers or each other.
Attendance
Regular weekly attendance is, of course, encouraged, but there are many opportunities to make up a missed meeting. There are no strict attendance requirements in Kiwanis, however, since busy leaders will have an occasional scheduling conflict which prevents meeting attendance.
Dues
Monthly dues are $42 and include a catered, home-style meal each week, a contribution to our service fund, and both International and District Dues. There are no assessments in Kiwanis. Any dues increases must be voted upon by the membership of the club.
Our Club and the Division
The Kiwanis Club of Greeley, chartered in 1922, is one of four Kiwanis Clubs in Greeley and is within Division 2, which includes the Kiwanis Clubs in Evans, Ft. Lupton, Greeley (4), Sterling, and Windsor. Seventeen divisions make up the Rocky Mountain District, with over 5,000 Kiwanians in Colorado, Wyoming and the Nebraska panhandle.
Our club has over 80 members from Greeley and surrounding communities. The club is one of the most active service clubs anywhere in the Rocky Mountain area, and we enjoy great fellowship at our meetings and when working on our many projects.
What the Kiwanis Club of Greeley Can Do For You:
Provide the opportunity for lasting friendships and the fellowship often lacking in our busy world;
Involve you in the life of the community; its social and service opportunities and provide a better understanding of its problems;
Open the door to the informal exchange of ideas on a wide range of topics;
Encourage you to share your own ideas and opinions with others in your peer group;
Develop your leadership skills by serving the club in positions of responsibility;
Broaden your general knowledge by providing, on a regular basis, speakers on scores of interesting subjects; and
Make you a better citizen by providing you with a sense of fulfillment and imparting the knowledge that the effort of each individual really counts.
